In peace!
God lets you live in peace... ~ Psalm 147:14 (CEV)
The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. ~ Colossians 3:15 (GNT)
KEY IDEA:
We are called to live out the peace that Christ gives.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I know the form of this world is constantly changing and passing away. Teach me to remain steadfast in your promise of life, so that your peace in my heart may direct my steps to make peace in this world. I ask no greater good than the privilege of serving you in Jesus' name. Amen. (Daily Texts, Mount Carmel Ministries edition)
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2011 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
