Eagle's wings
The Lord says: I brought you here to me, just as a mighty eagle carries its young. ~ Exodus 19:4b (CEV)
With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever. Amen. ~ Ephesians 3:20-21a (NCV)
KEY IDEA:
God is working powerfully among us.
PRAYER:
Thank you, Lord, for carrying me when I was so helpless. I am ashamed that I still get stressed out by all the trouble around me. Help me to look to Christ Jesus who has carried all people to safety. I don't want to resist your firm
grasp anymore. I'm going to relax and go along for the ride. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2011 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
