BROADCAST THE GOOD NEWS

ISAIAH 12:4 (ABP)
Broadcast the news of what God has done to all the people of the world. Make sure that the word gets out about how awesome he is.

REVELATION 14:6-7 (ABP)
Then I saw another angel flying high overhead and broadcasting good news of eternal significance to all those who live on the planet -- to the people from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language. He loudly ordered, "Stand at attention and salute God."

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Broadcast the good news to everyone on the planet!

PRAYER
Great and glorious God, you are worthy of all respect. You are not only the creator but the Savior of all creation. Thank you for the salvation that is ours through Christ Jesus. Forgive me for being timid when it comes to declaring this good news. I'm so afraid that I'll stumble over the words and that it will all come out wrong. Give me the words to say and the wisdom for when and how to speak them. I'm going to become a part of your broadcasting team. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

Strong God, thank you for reaching out to me in the midst of my current problems. Forgive my hesitancy to trust you and your solutions. Help me to relax and trust you with ALL of my problems. I'm going to draw on your strength to renew my strength. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name; your Kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

GOD LIVING AMONG US

PSALM 46:4-5 (MSG)
River fountains splash joy, cooling God’s city,
this sacred haunt of the Most High.
God lives here, the streets are safe...

REVELATION 21:3 (NLT)
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, "Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them."

SUMMARY SENTENCE
God will make his permanent home among his people in the renewed creation.

PRAYER
Creator God, you've given us a beautiful place to live. Unfortunately, we've done a lot to make you uncomfortable in your own place. Yet, you continue to reside among your people through your Holy Spirit. Help me to live with an awareness of your presence. We look forward to the time when the entirety of the renewed creation will welcome you back home among us.

Amen.

Loving Jesus, thank you for your unconditional love that strengthens me when fear rises against me. Your word declares that you are with me always wherever I go. *ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
