When dealing with God don't accept anything less than the best -- the Son of God.
PRAYER
Almighty God, you have no equal. Yet there are so many distractions which function as idols in the world today. I'm tempted to align my life with people who offer political or economic solutions. I'm easily swayed. Refresh my imagination so that I'm swayed only by your Son and his vision for the world. I'm going to go all in only with him -- and you. Amen.

THE UNENDING WALK

So the Lord isn't the God of the dead, but of the living. This means that everyone is alive as far as God is concerned.
SUMMARY SENTENCE
Walk alongside God for the rest of your life - and it turns into life everlasting.
PRAYER
You have set me on a good path, dear Lord. Life's journey is not aimless or without destination. I regret that many times I stray, seeking my own way in the world. On this new day may I actively seek your direction and follow it in the way of the cross, looking to Jesus my Savior to lead me forward. Amen. (Daily Texts, Ground Up Grace edition)

POWERFUL CREATOR

There is one God, the Father,

and through whom we live.

Don't sweat the challenges that come your way because the one God who created and sustains everything is the one who has our backs and guides our lives.
PRAYER
What a creation, O God! What a life, O Christ! Thank you for holding it all together. Forgive us when we worry over whether you can get us through the challenges we face. Help us to turn to you and trust you for the present and the future. I'm going to move forward with confidence because I know that you are the creator - and that means everything. Amen.

Accept the fact that at just the right time God reveals his presence and his ascendancy.
PRAYER
Glorious God, thank you for sending your Son into our human neighborhood to reveal yourself and to execute your salvation. I know that there is more to come but I get impatient when things aren't going right in my life or the world. Forgive me for my restless lack of faith. Yet, I would pray with the early church -- Maranatha! -- "Come, Lord, come quickly." Amen.
