What is the one thing you are most looking forward to? How does that hope affect what you are doing now? 

PRAYER
All praise and honor to you. You revealed your glory to all the world. I am deeply grateful for my salvation through your life, death, and resurrection, dear Jesus. I rejoice in the blessed hope of your return. Make me a powerful witness of your goodness and grace. I eagerly await enjoying eternity in heaven's glory with you. Amen. A Savior has just been born in David’s town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master.

With the arrival of Jesus, God has made his presence known.

How has the actual presence of God in the world changed things? 

PRAYER
Glorious God, you humbled yourself and moved into the human ghetto. Forgive our ongoing failure to recognize you and the significance of your presence. Open our eyes to the reality of you becoming one of us. I'm going to live as a Jesus freak. Amen!

How is Christmas an expression of God's love for us? How do we know more about him because of the events of Christmas? 

PRAYER
Loving God, thank you for sending Jesus into the world as a means of including us in your family. Help me to more completely grasp the extent of and implications of that gift. Christmas really IS all about family—your family! Amen.

Christmas Eve

Loving Father, this Christ Eve I thank you for the most precious gift, your perfect Son Jesus. Thank you that Jesus is my Savior. You have blessed me in so many ways.
