JUSTICE
PSALM 37:28
The LORD loves justice.
LUKE 20:25 (CEB)
Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.”
SUMMARY SENTENCE
God is interested in making sure that everyone gets what is theirs.
PRAYER
God of justice and mercy, it is so hard for us to figure out how to be consistently just. When we go out of the way to make sure that one person or group gets their due others feel slighted. Help me never give up on justice even when it is hard and complicated. Fill me with your wisdom so that I can sort through the problems that are on my plate. I'm trusting that you will be merciful as you deal with my shortcomings in the realm of justice. Amen.

KEEP THE LIGHT ON

No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.

You, Christ Jesus, are the light of the world and you've called us to also be the light of the world. It can only happen when we share your light with those around us. Forgive me for being so timid.
