Celebrating forgivness

Yes, what joy for those
whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,

Kind God, your forgiveness is such a mystery to us. We don't understand why you would get so excited about forgiving sinners. We'd think that you'd get excited about our righteousness -- all the good things we do -- especially when they are done in your name. Although, come to think of it -- we're pretty thin in the righteousness department. Maybe you love forgiving people so much because that is what we most need. Help me to embrace your forgiveness again today. Help me to be happy when someone turns away from sin and to you. Amen.
