Lord, we can't hide anything from you -- not even the things we do under the cover of darkness. There are no secret sins. Your light reveals all. Sometimes I wish that were not the case. I feel like what I do in private is only my business. But that is obviously not the case. And indeed, your light often protects me from the misdeeds and deceptions of others. So, it is a good thing -- something I can live with -- but only with your help. Please continue to remind me of your light -- not so that I walk around afraid that I might get caught but so that I can enjoy the wonderful life that happens only in the light. It's not so much that you are protecting your honor but that you are protecting me. And I am grateful for that. Amen.
