(Christ says,) “In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.” ~ John 16:33b (NIRV)
Lord, sometimes I'm very frustrated by the injustice in the world. People with power are always figuring new ways to take advantage of those who have less power. It's troubling -- especially when it happens to my clan or even me. Yet, you call us to be encouraged because you've already won the battle against injustice. For some reason the bad guys didn't get the memo. They still think that they can do whatever they want. I'm eagerly waiting for when you show them otherwise. Please give me wisdom so that I know when to be patient and when I should act. I know that in the end it all works out your way. But I need some direction for the here and now. Regardless of what is going on, I am going to side with you. I have confidence in you -- for you are the most powerful of all. Praise to you! Amen!
