Lord, from the very beginning you were delegating responsibility to lesser beings. And from the very beginning we've managed to make a mess of things. You knew that would happen but you gave us responsibility anyway. You must have a purpose for that. Help me to be a better steward of the creation and the gospel mission. Could it be that they are actually the same thing? I'm hoping that since Jesus has launched his kingdom and died to fix creation, that things will start to get better and that I'll finally have the wisdom and power to be worthy of your trust. That's what I live for -- to be trustworthy. Amen.Challenging Words
- delegating -- to give responsibility to someone so that the person who gives it does not have to directly overseer the issue. For example -- The store owner delegated responsibility for the operation of the store to a manager, so that the owner did not have to be in the office everyday.
- steward -- a manager, someone who has been given responsibility for the affairs or property of another
- trustworthy -- an honest and truthful person who is reliable, a person or object worth trusting
