Generous God, I have nothing apart from your blessings. Sometimes I get carried away looking to be blessed with new things, a new job, new friends, a new family, new clothes... My wants and desires are endless. But you have a completely different idea of what constitutes a blessing. Forgive my self-centered shortsightedness. I give you, Prince of Peace, permission to rewire my heart and mind so that I am passionate about your peace. That would be a real blessing. Amen.
