Generous God
Rescue comes from the Lord!
May your blessing be on your people! ~ Psalm 3:8 (CEB)
May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love. ~ Jude 2 (NLT)
Lord God, thank you for being generous. You not only rescue me from danger but you also fill my life with your mercy, peace, and love. I am truly blessed. Sometimes I act like I am in desperate need. But that is just an act that I need to stop. I'm going to focus on all your gifts and speak about your generosity today. Above all else I am going to focus on the gift of your Son, Christ Jesus, the rescuer, who is the person of mercy, peace, and love. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
