Powerful God, you are worthy of all honor and obedience. That's how we honor you -- by obeying you -- and only you. For you have raised Jesus from the dead, disarming death for everyone. I confess, though, that sometimes I revisit my old dead ways. At times there is an inexpiable morbid fixation on the dead things that were in my life in the past. Please keep me focused on what is alive -- especially Jesus. I want my whole life to be about honoring him. Amen.Challenging Words
