Humbled

The tyrants’ song falls silent. ~ Isaiah 25:5b (CEB)

(Mary said,) “The Lord has used his powerful arm to scatter those who are proud. He drags strong rulers from their thrones and puts humble people in places of power." ~ Luke 1:51–52 (CEV)
Lord, the bad people often make the most noise. They get the most attention. But you are just and kind. You eventually knock the proud to the ground and replace them with people who are humble. Sometimes I get discouraged waiting for that to happen. Sometimes in my anger over who still has power in this world, I start to get loud, too. I talk like a big know-it-all. I've got to stop doing that. Instead I'm going to sing a song about you and let you take care of making things right. Amen.
