Good news!
To the Lord, all nations
are merely a drop in a bucket
or dust on balance scales... ~ Isaiah 20:15 (CEV)
I saw another angel. This one was flying across the sky and had the eternal good news to announce to the people of every race, tribe, language, and nation on earth. ~ Revelation 14:6 (CEV)
Lord over all nations, we may be as insignificant as dust but you still have good news for us. It doesn't matter who we are, what language we speak, or from what nation we come. Christ died, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, is returning, and he is making things in the world right for us. I don't want the less significant activities in life to keep me from sharing this good news here, there, and everywhere. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
