Relax!
I said to myself, “Relax,

Caring Lord, much of the time I know that you will take care of me. I believe that you know what I need before I do. But there are moments when I let my needs swallow me and I get anxious. That's no way to live. Help me to relax in the realization that your knowledge is greater than mine and that your care is beyond what I can imagine. I want to live as person who so fully trusts you that I can walk through the day without stressing out over problems. Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
