Fulfilled promises

I will make a covenant of peace for them. It will be their covenant forever. ~ Ezekiel 37:26a (CEB)

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. ~ 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT)
God, the reason we can so freely say "yes" to you is that you have been so generous in your "yes" to us. You always seem to deliver more than you have promised. I want to be that kind of super positive person, too -- concerned more about the well-being of people than keeping track of all their offences. Thank you for Jesus -- and the new and greater promise that comes to us through him, his sin-slaying sacrifice and death-defying resurrection. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
