God's glory

Serve the Lord with celebration! Come before him with shouts of joy! ~ Psalm 100:2 (CEB)

Whatever you do, you should do it all for God’s glory. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:31b (CEB)
God, you deserve every word, song, and shout of praise given to you. If anything, we don't do enough to celebrate your glory. Help me to do everything I do as a praise offering to you. Even the most mundane and boring activities can be done to honor you. And it is my intention to do everything for your glory. Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
