Staying

But I prayed to the Lord! I said: Lord, my Lord! Don’t destroy your people, your own possession, whom you saved by your own power, whom you brought out of Egypt with a strong hand! ~ Deuteronomy 9:26 (CEB)

I’m sure about this: the one who started a good work in you will stay with you to complete the job by the day of Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 1:6 (CEB)

Lord, 

THANKS: Thank you for your patience and staying power. Even when I'm ready to give up and quit you stick with us -- with me. 

REGRETS: I'm inclined to grumble about how bad things are. I sometimes get all pessimistic and start thinking that everything is going bad. This is in spite of all the good you have done.

INTERCESSION: Renew the spirit of hope in me and those around me. Help me to see that you will not quit on me.

PURPOSE: I'm going to move through this day confident of your work in our midst -- whether things look good or look bad. You're still busy here.
