Faithfulness

Joseph spoke to Potiphar’s wife, who wanted to seduce him: How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God. ~ Genesis 39:9b (NLT)

Jesus was faithful over God’s house as a Son... ~ Hebrews 3:6a (CEB)

God,

THANKS: Thank you for sending your faithful Son into a world where faithfulness is always under threat. And like Joseph he did not allow temptation to destroy his faithfulness.

REGRETS: I confess that when it comes to living for you, I am not consistent. I am not totally faithful. Forgive me for giving in to persistent temptations.

INTERCESSION: Help me to stay strong when I am confronted by temptation.

PURPOSE: I want to stay faithful to you. And I know that it is possible to do because you have been faithful to us -- and we're now a part of your household. Faithfulness is what defines our family. It is who we are because we are Jesus' people.
