Come

TRINITY SUNDAY

“We’re going to ask the Lord All-Powerful to treat us with kindness. Come and join us.” ~ Zechariah 8:21 (CEV)

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. ~ Ephesians 2:18 (NLT)
Kind Father --

THANKS: Thank you so much for the way that Christ Jesus has opened the door to be with you -- to experience your kindness -- your forgiveness -- your grace... Thank you for the way that the Holy Spirit continues the work of Christ on our behalf.
REGRETS: I apologize for acting as though I can come to you because of all the good things I've done. I've got to stop thinking that way. It's all a gift from you -- an expression of your kindness.
INTERCESSION: Show me again how deep and wide your kindness goes. Impress on me the nature of your grace so that I can be changed.

PURPOSE: I want to experience the spiritual transformation that comes when we walk hand-in-hand with Christ.

Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
