Healing

I have seen their ways, but I will heal them. I will guide them, and reward them with comfort. ~ Isaiah 57:18a (CEB)

The apostles left and started telling everyone to turn to God. They forced out many demons and healed a lot of sick people by putting olive oil on them. ~ Mark 6:12-13 (CEV)
Thank you, Lord, for healing us. We are sin-sick. We are emotionally sick. We are physically sick. There is a lot of sickness. Yet, you don't quit on us. You stick with us and comfort us through the healing process. You have more patience with the sickness than I have. I give up too easily and give in at weak moments -- wondering why I even bother. Help me with my attitude. Comfort, guide, and renew me so that I can trust you through the healing process. I'm trusting you for complete healing. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
