Lord, you know and understand more than anyone or anything in all creation. You deserve our praise and gratitude. Frankly, sometimes I think of myself as being the second smartest being in the universe. I would never say that and I know that it's not true. But in my mind I feel superior to those around me. Help me to understand internal humility. I don't want to just act humble; I want to be humble -- starting with my private thoughts and ambitions. I want to deflect all attention to you and your plan for creation. Amen.
