Kind and gracious God, you have already given a lot to us. I'm thankful. But these days we need a lot more wisdom to go with the knowledge and the speaking skills that you have given to us. I get frustrated by the number of powerful speakers who say stupid things. I don't claim to be wise. (I need some of that wisdom, too.) But it is clear to me that we are not using ALL the gifts that you have given to the church. So please let me lead by example. Give me the sense to follow your commands and to speak wisdom accordingly. I want to be a living, breathing example of your grace. Amen.
