Be Glad.
Feast Day of St Ansgar
With all my heart,
    I will praise the Lord.
    Let all who are helpless,
listen and be glad. ~ Psalm 34:2(CEV)
Be glad in the Lord always! Again I say, be glad! Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near. ~ Philippians 4:4-5 (CEB)
KEY IDEA:
The Lord has given us many good reasons to be glad.
PRAYER:
Thank you, Lord, for your care. I was in a bad situation and you intervened on my behalf. Even though I sometimes wallow in sadness fill me with a sense of joy. Help me to appropriately respond to your nearness. I'm going to treat others as you have treated me. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
 DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
