Sing praise
Praise the Lord!
It is good to sing praise to our God... ~ Psalm 147:1a (GNT)
When you meet together, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, as you praise the Lord with all your heart. ~ Ephesians 5:19 (CEV)
KEY IDEA:
It is good to sing praise to our God.
PRAYER:
Lord, you are certainly worthy of all praise. I don't praise you enough -- even when my singing voice is working. Stir my heart so that I can participate in the great chorus of all those who gather to honor you in song.
I'm going to sing! Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
