Peace and Justice
I will appoint peace and justice
as your rulers and leaders. ~ Isaiah 6-:17 (CEV)
But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. When peacemakers plant seeds of peace, they will harvest justice. ~ James 3:17-18 (CEV)
KEY IDEA:
Peace and justice are important components of the Lord's agenda.
PRAYER:
Prince of Peace! Thank you for the justice and peace established through the cross of Christ Jesus.
I am so glad to receive the benefits of what you have done. And I want to be a part of what you are continuing to do.
I admit, though, that peace and justice are not high priorities in my life. I'm happy to just be "saved." Please expand my vision so that it lines up with your vision for the world and individual people. I want to get behind what you are doing. Amen.

DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
