Undeserved
We do not ask these things because we are good; instead, we ask because of your mercy. ~ Daniel 9:18 (GNT)
We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus. ~ Acts 15:11 (NLT)
KEY IDEA:
Anything we get from God is undeserved.
PRAYER:
Kind and merciful God, thank you for loving us -- even though we are not very loveable. I confess that I still put a lot of energy into trying to show that I am good and that I should be loved. Free me from that illusion and help me to better appreciate the awesomeness of your undeserved kindness. I want to live with eyes wide open to your grace. I pray in the name of Christ Jesus, who saves us by his grace. Amen.
