Reliable

KEY IDEA:
The Lord keeps his promise to send a Savior.
PRAYER:
At least someone keeps his word. Thank you, Lord, for being that someone. I too often get into a dark place and start to worry about who is going to protect me -- who will take care of the future. Keep reminding me of your word and your faithfulness. I know that the light of Christ will shine more and more in my heart -- and through my life.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.
