Resurrection blessings

EASTER -- RESURRECTION SUNDAY

You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. ~ Deuteronomy 28:2-3 (NLT)

Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. ~ 2 Timothy 2:8 (NLT)

KEY IDEA:
Jesus, raised from the dead, is the greatest blessing of all.
PRAYER:
Praise, you God, from whom all blessings flow. We are especially grateful for the blessing of new life which comes to us through the resurrection of your son, Christ Jesus. Forgive us for adding all kinds of stuff to the agenda -- stuff about making us feel better and more successful. Use this day to help us refocus on the good news -- Jesus raised from the dead. It is all about him and what you continue to do through resurrection power. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
