Celebrate the blessings
Fill us full every morning with your faithful love
so we can rejoice and celebrate our whole life long. ~ Psalm 90:14 (CEB)
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. ~ Ephesians 1:3 (NLT)
KEY IDEA:
The blessings of God stir us to celebrate.
PRAYER:
All praise to you, God. You fill our lives with more blessings than we can ever count. Yet, because your gifts are so many, I often give upon counting them. And I certainly don't get around to celebrating what I can measure. Fill me each day with a sense of your faithfuless. I know that this is possible because of the way that Christ has attached himself to me. So I will celebrate what I can count and acknowledge that your faithfulness is beyond measure. Amen.
*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
