God's faithfulness
Epiphany
You people of Israel, say,
“God pays no attention to us!
He doesn’t care if we
are treated unjustly.”
But how can you say that? ~ Isaiah 40:27 (CEV)
But the foundation that God has laid is solid. On it is written, “The Lord knows who his people are...” ~ 2 Timothy 2:19 (CEV)
KEY THOUGHT:
God is faithful to his people.
PRAYER:
Ever faithful God, thank you for the people who live into your promises. They exemplify godly living. They surround me with your love. Bless the lonely and forgotten and provide them with a community that upholds them in love. Help me to know how to help those who want to be in your fold, but are floundering. Amen. *ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
