Healing
The blind will see,
and the ears of the deaf
will be healed. ~ Isaiah 35:5 (CEV)
Those who were blind are able to see. Those who were crippled are walking. People with skin diseases are cleansed. Those who were deaf now hear. Those who were dead are raised up. The poor have good news proclaimed to them. ~ Matthew 11:5 (CEB)

PRAYER:
Dear God, I'm grateful that you are interested in more than just getting people to heaven. Show me how I can participate in the healing that you are doing. I want to become a part of your mission to lift people out of their suffering. Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
