His kingdom

His signs are superb!
     His miracles so powerful!
His kingdom is everlasting.
His rule is for all time.

~ Daniel 4:3 (CEB)

Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. ~ Hebrews 12:28 (MSG)

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Align yourself with God's forever regime and reign.
PRAYER
God, you are worthy of all respect and worship. You are the ultimate king. Forgive me for my unthinking attempts to advance my own feeble kingdom. Save me from my delusions of grandeur and entitlement. Install your kingdom values deep within my soul so that I'm totally aligned with and allegiant to you. I want my life to brim over with praise and gratitude for you. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2011 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
