Full of mystery
We’ll never completely understand how God does his miracles. Nor will we really comprehend what he is up to with all of his uncountable surprises. ~ Job 9:10 (ABP)

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Accept the fact that God and his ways are full of mystery.
PRAYER
Thank you, God, for all that you are doing around me. I confess that I'm so full of myself that I don't even see what you're doing -- let alone begin to understand why. Help me to accept the fact that you are full of unexplainable mystery. I'm going to throw myself into your kingdom, the agenda that Jesus taught, even though I realize that I can't explain it all. Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.
