God's honor

SUMMARY SENTENCE God's honor is like none other.
PRAYER O LORD, our master, thank you again for involving yourself in the world you created. You could have just been a distant observer but you stayed involved. No one deserves honor like you. I admit, though, that I spend too much energy trying to manage my own reputation. Free me from that worry so that I can keep the focus on you. I'm going to become your number one fan. Amen.

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2011 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul. The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
