THE WORK OF CHRIST

PSALM 105:7 (CEV)
The LORD is our God,
bringing justice
everywhere on earth.

1 PETER 3:18 (MSG)
That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’ sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Christ went through hell to make things right for us.

PRAYER
Suffering Savior, your righteous judgments call me to acknowledge my part in the unrighteousness you came to set right. Forgive me. Claim me anew as I am buried with you in baptism and rise with the fresh start you have won. You are so good to me! I dress in the robe of righteousness today with anticipation! Amen.
