SALVATION

ISAIAH 56:1 (NLT)
This is what the LORD says:
“Be just and fair to all.
Do what is right and good,
for I am coming soon to rescue you
and to display my righteousness among you.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:2 (CEB)
Look, now is the right time! Look, now is the day of salvation!

SUMMARY SENTENCE
God has revealed his salvation through Christ Jesus.

PRAYER
Thank you, Lord, that I live in this time when you have revealed your salvation and called me your precious child. Forgive me when I forget my baptismal identity and instead live according to worldly values to satisfy my selfish desires. Give me a new heart fully devoted to you that shares your good news. Amen. DAILYTEXTS.ORG

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
