GOD WORKS THROUGH PEOPLE

EXODUS 34:9 (MSG)
At once, Moses fell to the ground and worshiped, saying, “Please, O Master, if you see anything good in me, please Master, travel with us..."

LUKE 1:76-77 (CEB)
You, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way. You will tell his people how to be saved through the forgiveness of their sins.

SUMMARY SENTENCE

God chooses to work through and with his people.

PRAYER
Great God, even though you have power beyond imagination you choose to work through frail and often broken people. We are humbled to be included. Forgive me when I start to think that I'm too insignificant or unworthy for your work. Help me to rejoice in the circumstances I'm in, knowing that you are using me here to further the work of your Messiah, Jesus. I'm going to trust that you know what you're doing. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS

The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.

The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
