DARKNESS

PSALM 139:11-12 (MSG)
Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I’m immersed in the light!”
It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you;
night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.

As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one.

No matter how dark things appear to us, God is not thwarted.

PRAYER
Compassionate God, you care for us even through the darkest of times. I admit that I let the darkness get me down because I use my limited experience to decide what can and can't be done. Help me to set aside my narrow perspective and to embrace the light of Christ which transcends all forms of darkness. I'm going to trust you through whatever comes my way. Amen.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
