EXODUS 15:11 (ABP)
Who among the gods, O GOD, is anything like you? When we consider the glory of your unique purity, the awesomeness of your splendor, and the incredible things you do -- can any compare? The answer is obvious.
1 JOHN 1:2 (MSG)
The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.
SUMMARY SENTENCE
Nothing compares to God and how he reveals himself to us through Christ Jesus.
PRAYER
O glorious God, it's difficult to find words which convey your splendor. Yet, I can get so caught up in the mundane that I neglect to recognize how your glory breaks through even the most ordinary of circumstances. Redirect my gaze so that I'm seeing it all once again in a new and fresh way. I want to join in with those who are witnesses of the awesomeness of the life of Christ. Amen.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.
The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
