BURDENS

JOB 2:11,13 (NLT)
When three of Job’s friends heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and traveled from their homes to comfort and console him... They sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights. No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words.

GALATIANS 6:2 (CEB)
Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.

SUMMARY SENTENCE
When we're truly present for each other during our times of need we are living out the agenda of Christ.

PRAYER
Thank you, God, for putting caring friends into my life. Forgive me for the times when I'm too preoccupied with my own issues to be one of those caring friends for others. Clear the fog so that I can see what's really important for this and all moments. I'm going to live out the love of Christ among the people in my life. Amen.
