1 CHRONICLES 28:9 (MSG)
GOD examines every heart and sees through every motive.
1 JOHN 4:13 (CEV)
God has given us his Spirit. This is how we know we are one with him, just as he is one with us.
SUMMARY SENTENCE
When we are one with Christ, and receive the Holy Spirit into our lives, God's motives become our motives.
PRAYER
Loving God, you know me intimately. You understand my motives and my ambitions. Thank you for the precious gift of your Holy Spirit. May the Spirit guide me as I search to fully understand your desire for my life. Help me to trust in your good plans for me. I am confident because you are at home in me. Amen. THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name; your Kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
