AT HOME

ISAIAH 32:18 (CEB)
Then my people will live in a peaceful dwelling,
in secure homes, in carefree resting places.

EPHESIANS 2:19-20 (MSG)
That’s plain enough, isn’t it? You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together.

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Through Christ, the promise of a settled future with a true home begins now.

PRAYER
How good it is, Lord, to be at home in your merciful love! There are times when I find myself in strange places, far from your presence. Thank you for always seeking me out. Forgive my wandering ways. Keep me content to live in your kingdom of grace, safely built up on the cornerstone of Christ. Amen. (Daily Texts, Ground Up Grace edition)

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
