DANIEL 6:10 (CEV)
Daniel heard about the law, but when he returned home, he went upstairs and prayed in front of the window that faced Jerusalem. In the same way that he had always done, he knelt down in prayer three times a day, giving thanks to God.
ROMANS 12:12 (CEV)
Let your hope make you glad. Be patient in time of trouble and never stop praying.
SUMMARY SENTENCE
Keep on praying -- even through the challenging times.
PRAYER
Merciful God, you are available and eager to hear from us -- even if it's just about some problem we're facing. I confess that during the times of greatest stress I forget to pray. I need lots of prompting. Remind me to slow down, take a deep breath, and turn to you. You've made me hopeful. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

*ABOUT THE
DAILY TEXTS
The Daily Texts have been published by the Moravian Church since 1731. In 2015 I started posting these Bible verses for my spiritual formation students at Pacific Islands University. In the process of responding to the verses, I found the rhythm of looking for a common thread and writing a prayer based on that key idea to be helpful for my own soul.
The prayers are more or less modeled on the TRIP method, which is what I ask my students to do in their journaling. ~ Brad Boydston
