THE ONLY FONDATION

The Third Sunday after Epiphany

JEREMIAH 10:6 (CEB)
LORD, no one is like you!
You are great,
and great is your mighty name.

1 CORINTHIANS 3:11 (MSG)
Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ.

SUMMARY SENTENCE
Christ Jesus is the only foundation; so we need to make sure that everything we do is advancing him alone.

PRAYER
Thank you, God, for the foundation that you've given us in Christ Jesus. We are in desperate need of something solid because there are so many hot-air charlatans who want us to build our lives and the world around what they say. Forgive us for the times when we actually listen to them and put trust in such shaky foundations. It's clear what will happen to them in the long run. Apprentice me in the process of building on the Jesus Foundation. I want to be a part of your work of restoring all of creation on the solid foundation. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
