GOD'S EAGERNESS TO FORGIVE

PSALM 25:18 (NLT)
Feel my pain and see my trouble.
Forgive all my sins.

LUKE 15:7 (CEV)
Jesus said, “In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over 99 good people who don't need to.”

SUMMARY SENTENCE
We can share God's attitude of taking pleasure in celebrating repentant sinners.

DAILY FODDER
Why do we seem more eager to see people punished for their crimes than to celebrate their turn-arounds?

PRAYER
It is strange math you have, Savior. It doesn't seem to compute with the normal way of adding things up. You show me how to love when revenge seems natural, how to embrace others when their actions repel. Thank you for resetting my thoughts, for making me less calculating and more understanding. Amen. THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
