The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor.

Have you ever been overwhelmed by light? Sometimes I walk into the bathroom during early morning darkness and through habit flip on a light switch. The sudden brightness is enough to knock me to the floor. But as I adjust I'm glad to have the light. The more we get used to God's light in the world the more drawing it becomes.
PRAYER
Light of the world, thank you for guiding my way. I become frightened when I take dark detours. Direct me always on the lighted pathway of your love. It gives me hope knowing that many people, in many nations, walk in your light. Strengthen each of us to be beacons of your love in the world. Amen. (Daily Texts, Ground Up Grace edition)
