PRAYER
You, God, are the one and only. At some point everyone will figure out that you are worthy of all honor and recognition. Forgive me for worrying that I'm on the wrong side each time the bad guys get ahead. Give me a global perspective. I'm going to be a world-leader in consistently honoring Christ Jesus. Amen.

Merciful God, thank you for welcoming all who return to you. I confess that I am not as liberal as you are. Help me to become more gracious. I turn to you so that I can become gracious like you. Amen.

Thank you, God, for sending peace into our troubled world. I confess that whenever there is a tragedy or drama I start to worry that it's not taking. Renew my confidence in you and the gift of your peace. I'm going to act on your peace even when circumstances around me tug me to act otherwise. Amen.

Gracious God, you continue to shower us with gifts. I confess that sometimes I barely notice because I'm so focused on what I don't have and think I should have. Refocus my attention so that I'm consciously living off your gifts. Amen.
