Earthy God

(Solomon said at the dedication of the temple,) But will God really live on earth? ~ 1 Kings 8:27a (NLT)

(Jesus said,) “I assure you that unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it can only be a single seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.” ~ John 12:24 (CEB)

Indeed, God, you actually did come to live on the earth -- and you died here, too. We confess that we are pretty casual with that fact. We want to grow out of that indifference, though. We want to be a part of the fruit that you are bearing through your descent. There is nothing more glorious your earthiness! Amen.
